Д-р Јулијана Велевска, редовен професор, е родена на 6 декември 1961 година во Кочани, Република Македонија. Основно и средно образование завршила во Кочани. Во учебната 1980/81 година се запишала на Факултетот за физика во Скопје, а дипломирала во учебната 1985/86 г. на тогаш веќе Природно-математички факултет, Институт за физика. Со звањето магистер по физички науки се стекнала со одбраната на магистерскиот труд со наслов „Оптички карактеристики на тенки Ni/SiO керметни филмови добиени по методот на наизменично испарување во вакуум“, во октомври 1994 г., на Институтот за физика при ПМФ во Скопје. Со одбраната на докторската дисертација под наслов „Електрохромизам кај тенки филмови од никел оксид“ на 14.03.2002 г. на Институтот за физика при Природно-математичкиот факултет, се стекнала со научниот степен доктор по физички науки. Главно подрачје на научен интерес ѝ е физика на тврдо тело, специјално електрохромизмот кај неоргански тенки филмови. На Институтот за физика при ПМФ е вработена од 1.1.1988 г. како приправник помлад асистент, во јуни 1989 г. е избрана за помлад асистент, а во ноември 1995 г. и за асистент по оптика и општа физика. Во февруари 2003 г. е избрана за доцент по група предмети од оптика и општа физика, во декември 2007 г. за вонреден професор, во декември 2012 за редовен професор по група предмети од оптика и спектроскопија, методика на наставата по физика и општа физика,а во октомври 2017 е преизбрана во звањето редовен професор во научната област по група предмети од областите 1.03.00.07 оптика, 1.03.00.15 образование по физика и 1.03.00.01 физика. Во периодот 1991-1993 г. била благајник, а во периодот 1997-1999 и 2003-2005 г. и секретар на Друштвото на физичарите на Република Македонија. Во рамките на научните истражувања на Институтот за физика при ПМФ, д-р Јулијана Велевска учествувала во 12 научноистражувачки проекти. Од нејзиното вработување, во рамките на Друштвото на физичарите на Р. Македонија, д-р Јулијана Велевска учествувала како член на комисиите за избор и прегледување на задачи на регионалните и републичките натпревари по физика кои се одржуваат секоја година. Д-р Јулијана Велевска е автор на 40-тина научни и неколку стручни трудови, објавени во национални, меѓународни и меѓународни списанија со импакт фактор, 305 пати цитирани (според Research Gate). Учествувала на конференции со 38 соопштенија, од кои 18 во домашни и 20 во меѓународни, а исто така остварила и неколку студиски престои: ICTP Трст (Италија), Солун, Aristoteles University (Грција), Универзитетот во Гент (Белгија), Институтот за тврдо тело при БАН, Софија (Бугарија). Како асистент на Институтот за физика, Јулијана Велевска досега изведувала експериментални и нумерички вежби по предметите: оптика, атомска со нуклеарна физика, методика на наставата по физика, општа физика за градежници, медицинари, стоматолози, фармацевти, шумари, математичари, хемичари, биолози, итн; учествувала во подготвување на упатства за вежби, во држење на семинари за средношколските професори по физика и за наставниците по физика од основното образование. Како доцент, вонреден, редовен и преизбран редовен професор држела настава по предметите: физика за градежници и геотехничари, физика за геодети, општа методика на наставата по физика и специјална методика на наставата по физика за студентите од групата математика – физика, физичка и квантна оптика, спектроскопија и физика на музика и музички инструменти за студентите од физика.
