OUR MISSION
The Institute of Physics is part of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. It is the largest higher-education and scientific center in the country dealing with issues in the field of physics. It organizes undergraduate and master's studies, offering a wide range of study programs, and in cooperation with the School of Doctoral Studies at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, it also offers the opportunity to obtain the title of Doctor of Physical Sciences.
Our commitments are:
- To establish European standards in higher physics education and to offer our students the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills that will enable a successful career in science, industry, education, or other related disciplines.
- To develop as a research center in the field of fundamental and applied research that will be globally recognizable. To this end, we have established collaborations with renowned institutions worldwide and strive to constantly increase their number.
- To assist domestic and regional industry through work on joint projects, especially in the field of innovation.
- To utilize our many years of experience in textbook writing and the creation of curricula and syllabi for primary and secondary schools to contribute to the development of quality education in our country.
- To become a center for lifelong education for physics teachers from primary and secondary schools in the Republic of Macedonia.
