Course content:
The main objective of this course is to describe extreme weather events and understand the relationship to climate change. An additional goal is to present historical weather events and projections for the future, as well as to develop methods and tools for their assessment and forecast that will help timely preparation in case of extreme weather events in a certain geographic area. Acquisition of the basic concepts of probability and statistics, based on which the student is able to apply statistical methods in meteorology.
