Seismic sensors and their division - inertial seismic sensors and non-inertial seismic sensors (extensometers and strain meters). Inertial seismic sensors (seismometers, velocimeters and accelerometers) and their division (mechanical and electromagnetic; passive and active). Passive inertial seismic sensors and their division (mechanical and electromagnetic; short-period, medium-period and long-period). Active or broadband inertial seismic sensors. Registration devices: analog (mechanical and electromagnetic) and digital. Seismoscopes, seismographs, velocigraphs and accelerographs. Calibration of seismological instruments (complex theory of linear time-invariant systems with analog and discretized signals). Seismological networks.
